Habitat:
In understory of mesic pine-hardwood forest. In thin rocky soil. Associated with Betula papyrifera, Pinus resinosa, Populus tremuloides, Amelanchier laevis.
Description:
A small slender tree with 2 stems, the largest 3.8 m tall, and 3 cm dbh. Bark gray, smooth. Ovaries glabrous. Leaves barely bronze-tinged. From same stem as #27662.
