Habitat: SOn E-facing forested bluff. Site dominated by Acer saccharum and Tilia americana. In rocky colluvial soil. Associated with Quercus rubra, Viburnum lentago, Prunus virginiana.
Description: A small tree with 2 stems, the largest 6 m tall, 4 cm dbh. Bark gray, smooth; leaves strongly bronze-tinged; ovaries nearly glabrous.
