Habitat: Growing in a ditch immediately adjacent to northern wet prairie. Associates include Juncus alpinoarticulatus, Lobelia kalmii, Triglochin palustris, Primula mistassiinica, Dasiphora fruticosa, Triglochin maritima, Packera paupercula, Solidago riddellii, Rhynchospora capillacea, and Scleria verticillata.
