Habitat: In a few shaded depressions in black ash/cedar/tamarack/alder swamp forest. With Aster puniceus, A. umbellatus, Bromus ciliatus, Caltha palustris, Carex disperma, C. gracillima, C. interior, C. intumescens, C. leptalea, C. projecta, C. retrorsa, Dryopteris cristata, Eupatorium maculatum, Galium asprellum, Glyceria striata, Lycopus uniflorus, Maianthemum trifolium, Osmunda cinnamomea, Poa palustris, Rubus pubescens, Scutellaria lateriflora, Trientalis borealis.
