Habitat: Bedrock outcrop at topside of cliff/wall. Ecotone of outcrop and upland forest of Populus tremuloides, Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, Alnus viridis, Platanthera hookeri, Diphasiastrum complanatum, Spinulum annotinum, etc.
