Habitat: Local in large peatland complex. Uncommon to occasional in tamarack swamp. Interrupted canopy dominated by immature, even-aged Larix laricina, with scattered Thuja occidentalis. Sparse understory. Saturated peat. In carpets of Sphagnum spp. and Bryales spp., mosses on low hummocks. Associates include Rubus pubescens, Maianthemum canadense, Smilacina trifolia, Viola pallens, Thelypteris palustris, Trientalis borealis, Stellaria longifolia, Rhamnus alnifolia, Betula glandulifera, Cornus stolonifera, Lonicera
Description: Local in peatland; uncommon to occasional in swamp.
