Habitat:
Rolling forested moraine. Local. Small loose patches of plants on exposed muck and peat mats floating in shallow water (~3 feet deep). In full sun. Associated species include Eleocharis ovata, Schoenoplectus purshianus, Juncus brevicaudatus, Glyceria borealis, Dulichium arundinaceum, Bidens tripartita, Typha x glauca, Nymphaea odorata, Utricularia vulgaris, U. minor, Brasenia schreberi.
