Habitat: Local in alluvial forest on floodplain in fairly large river bend. Interrupted to continuous canopy dominated by Acer saccharinum, with occasional Fraxinus pennsylvanica. Open understory. Silt substrate with abundant earthworms. Fairly dense patch of several hundred plants with white ray flowers. Associated species include Phalaris arundinacea, Elymus virginicus, Galium obtusum, Lysimachia ciliata, Physostegia virginiana, Myosotis laxa, Laportea canadensis, Onoclea sensibilis, Ribes americanum.
