Habitat: In strongly rolling forested moraine. Rare and local. In moist sand and moist thin muck over sand along wave-washed beach, ~12-18 inches above present lake level (which is down due to extended drought). Full sun. Associated species include Cyperus bipartitus, Eleocharis acicularis, E. palustris, Ranunculus flammula, Juncus pelocarpus, Bidens cernua.
