Habitat: Strongly-rolling forested moraine. Local, occasional in small (~1/8-acre) vernal wetland along forest road. On very quaky, floating mucky substrate in marshy setting. Full sun to partial shade of surrounding mature mesic hardwood forest and patches of young aspen. Associated species include Carex arcta, C. vesicaria, Alopecurus aequalis, Glyceria borealis, Ranunculus flabellaris, Sium suave, Alisma subcordatum, Cardamine pensylvanica, Galium tinctorium.
