Habitat: Strongly-rolling forested moraine. Common in small (~1-acre) pond in larger (~15-acre) wetland complex bisected by a forest road. Mucky substrate. In water ~1-3 feet deep. Upper leaves floating, inflorescences held slightly emergent. Associated species include Sagittaria rigida, Nuphar variegata, Nymphaea odorata.
