Habitat:
Rolling forested moraine. Frequent locally in mesic hardwood forest on ~15-acre island in large peatland complex northwest of Lova Lake. Beneath canopy of Tilia americana, Populus tremuloides, and Betula papyrifera. Tall, fairly dense understory of Tilia americana, Quercus macrocarpa, Corylus cornuta, Fraxinus nigra, and Prunus virginiana.
