Habitat: Local, small patches. Wet mucky substrate, many plants in shallow water. Stems to seven feet tall. In full sun. Associated species include Glyceria grandis, Phalaris arundinacea, Leersia oryzoides, Carex comosa, Sparganium eurycarpum, Cicuta bulbifera, Sagittaria latifolia, Hippuris vulgaris.
