Habitat: Extensive wetland complex in glacial overflow channel. Occasional in rich shrub fen dominated by Betula glandulifera. Saturated, well-decomposed peat. Mostly in full sun in rather small openings between the shrubs. Additional associates include Salix candida, S. petiolaris, S. discolor, S. serissima, S. pedicellaris, Thelypteris palustris, Lonicera villosa, Aster borealis, Campanula aparinoides, Gentiana rubricaulis, Rubus pubescens, Parnassia palustris, Cicuta bulbifera, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Carex aquat
