Verbatim Coordinates: 46° 32' 48.75" N,93° 55' 57.46" W;
Habitat: opening of mixed pine canopy dominated by Pinus banksiana, Pinus strobus and Pinus resinosa. Brushy opening on crest of narrow meander island 50' relief bordered by steep sides; part of a continuum along ridge at different elevations. There seems to be a very hard, clay pan layer about 18-22 cm down. Fraxinus pensylvanica, Amelanchier sanguinea, Quercus macrophyllum seedlings, saplings, AMorpha canescens, Viburnum rafinesquianum.
