In a floristically diverse mesic forest with no sign of past logging. Canopy dominated by Fraxinus nigra and Betula papyrifera.
Other species collected here include Botrypus virginianus, Carex brunnescens, Equisetum pratense, Carex peckii, Matteuccia struthiopteris var. pensylvanica.
