Habitat:
Area populated by perennial grasses and sedges along lake to the east. Prairie area is well-drained, sandy soil with several species of Poaceae and Asteraceae prevalent. Slightly disturbed trails surrounding area and concurrent compaction. On either side, a drop in elevation due to bordering marsh and lake.
Description:
Native, standing up to 5 feet tall with yellow disc and ray flowers and hairy tough leaves.
