Habitat: in several acre poor fen, sedge subtype, of large wetlands complex. Part of Carex spp. and R. alba dominated zone. In continuous cover of saturated Sphagnum with Carex oligosperma, C. aquatilus, Scheuchzeria palustris, Sarracenia purpurea, Scirpus cespitosus. Rest of wetland is primarily Picea mariana bog type. Fen is less wet and firmer at edges and located within 40m of upland.
