Habitat: Soil sandy.
Associated Species: roadside grasses (predominately Agrostis, Phleum), Trifolium arvense, Trifolium aureum, Tripleurospermum maritimum, Ribes.
Description: Three single stemmed plants just over 1 m height. Firmly rooted. Long internodes. Flowers bright reddish magenta in life. Capitula 9-11 mm wide. Phyllary appendages with 6 to 9 cilia (mostly 7) per side.
