Stamens ca 10, anthers white. Compound thorns absent, simple thorns numerous Each stem up to 4 m tall and 5-6 cm in diameter; About 3-4 days before peak of anthesis (spring 1 week late) Collected from same stem as WRS 26389 (fruiting specimen)
