Habitat:
Shrub swamp/tamarack swamp with intermittent hummocks of Sphagnum. Soil is shallow peat over sand. Associated with Dryopteris cristata, Ledum groenlandicum, Nemopanthus mucronatus, Spiraea tomentosa, Vaccinium angustifolium.
