Habitat: Small, degraded, dry prairie remnant on extremely steep, 35-foot, south-facing slope. Compacted clay. Full sun. Associated species include Andropogon gerardii, Schizachrium scoparium, Poa compressa, Medicago sativa, M. lupulina, Melilotus alba, Asclepias syriaca, Asparagus officinalis, Petalostemum purpureum, Allium stellatum, Linum sulcatum.
