Habitat: In poor sedge fen (shore fen) dominated by Carex lasiocarpa and Myrica gale. Spongy saturated peat. In Sphagnum mosses and shallow water on margin of lake. Full sun. Additional associates include Rhynchospora alba, Potentilla palustris, Triadenum fraseri, Iris versicolor, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
