Steep, north-facing bedrock slope; at midslope in tufts of Pleurozium schreberi, Polytrichum sp. and assorted lichens, etc. Various clumps of plants at immediate location appearing to be different Huperzia spp. or hybrids.
Pinus banksiana, Pinus strobus, Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Vaccinium angustifolium, reindeer lichens and Pleurozium schreberi.
LBG-Possibly buttersii; spores remaining in last years sporangia and lower leaf shape suggest possible hybrid.
