Habitat: Creekside with Prunus virginiana, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Solidago gigantea, Lathyrus palustris, Equisetum arvense, etc. Red stems approximately 1.6 m tall.
Associated Species: Tilia americana, Quercus macrocarpa, Populus tremuloides, Acer rubrum, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Polygonatum pubescens, Thalictrum dioicum, Uvularia grandiflora, Asarum canadense, Milium effusum, etc.
