Habitat: Bedrock outcrop with Pinus strobus, P. banksiana, Acer rubrum, Populus grandidentata, Vaccinium myrtilloides, Fallopia cilinodis, Corydalis sempervirens, Danthonia spicata, Dichanthelium xanthophysum, D. linearifolium, Oryzopsis asperifolia, etc.
Associated Species: Rhododendron groenlandicum, Betula pumila, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, V. oxycoccus, Gaultheria hispidula, Sphagnum, Pleurozium schreberi, etc.
