Habitat: Near wet hollow in Picea mariana swamp with Larix laricina, Rhododendron groenlandicum, Rhamnus alnifolia, Cornus sericea, Linnaea borealis, Mitella nuda, Maianthemum trifolium, Carex stricta, C. leptalea, C. disperma, Sphagnum, etc.
Associated Species: Quercus rubra, Pinus strobus, P. banksiana, Comptonia peregrina, Vaccinium angustifolium, Prunus susquehanae, Comandra umbellata, etc.
