Habitat: Fraxinus nigra swamp with few Acer saccharinum, Laportea canadenis, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Impatiens capensis, Cicuta maculata, Iris versicolor, Physotegia virginiana, Glyceria striata, Elymus virginicus, Carex crinita, C. retrorsa, C. gracillima, etc.
