Habitat: Locally common in portions of graminoid-dominated shore fen surrounding small pond. Growing in peat substrate among dense cover of Carex lasiocarpa.
Associated Species: With Galium tinctorium, Galium trifidum, Campanula aparinoides, Thelypteris palustris, Betula pumila, Triadenum fraseri, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Euthamia graminifolia, Symphyotrichum boreale, Pilea pumila, Calla palustris, Menyanthes trifoliata.
