Habitat: Dense group of plants where forest meets fen, in muck of shallow depression pool. Also locally common nearby under dense C. lasiocarpa in open shore fen around small pond.
Associated Species: Associates in mucky pool are Calla palustris, Carex lasiocarpa, Galium tinctorium, Galium trifidum, Dulichium arundinaceum, Potentilla palustris, Carex pseudocyperus. In shore fen with Campanula aparinoides, Galium spp., Calla palustris, Betula pumila, Triadenum fraseri, Lysimachia thyrsiflora.
