Habitat:
Within 3m x3m area of broad water track in northern rich tamarack swamp of large peatland complex of NW Angle. Growing in sunny, wet hollows among Sphagnum hummocks under partial canopy of tamarack and black spruce. Tamaracks w/significant larch beetle mortality.
