Habitat: Growing on a rich fen mat in an extensive, interfrumlin wetland. Betula glandulifera and Carex lasiocarpa are the dominant vascular palnts on the sphagnum mat, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Carex chordorhiza, and Thelypteris palustris are common.
