Habitat: Large wetland complex in rolling forested moraine ... tamarack swamp. Canopy dominated by mature Larix laricina. Patchy understory of Alnus incana, Ulmus americana, and Betula papyrifera ... on peat hummocks in area that is less wet than most of the swamp (~semi-terrestrial here). Associated species include Carex leptalea, C. peckii, C. interior, Rubus pubescens, Galium triflorum, Mitella nuda, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Lonicera villosa, Maianthemum canadense, Ledum groenlandicum.
