Habitat: In dryish sandy soil in a mixed hardwood forest fominated by Quercus ellipsoidalis and Betula papyrifera. Growing in more or less full shade. Associated with Rubus strigosus, Sambucus pubens, Rhus radicans var. rydergii, Prunus virginiana.
Description: Floricane 2.6 m long; mounded proximally, trailing and tip-rooting distally. Primocane 1.4 m long; erect to high-arching.
