Habitat: Along north bank of creek. Near the edge of a mesic deciduous forest dominated by Quercus macrocarpa and Tilia americana. Associated with Rhamnus cathartica, Lonicera tatarica, Populus tremuloides, Prunus virginiana.
Description: A clonal shrub with 10-15 stems in area 3 m across. The largest stem 3 m tall, and 2 cm dbh. Bark mottled gray, smooth.
