Mature pine forest dominated by Pinus resinosa. In dry-mesic sandy soil, and partial shade. Associated with Prunus pensylvanica, Corylus cornuta.
Description:
A large clonal shrub (rhizomatous growth observed), with multiple stems to 2 m tall, and 2 cm dia.
