Habitat: Locally abundant in a large gravel pit. Forming dense patches in moist to very wet gravelly muck associated with shallow water-filled depressions, in the abandoned (southern) portion of the gravel pit, beneath a power line. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Juncus nodosus, J. brevicaudatus, J. alpinoarticulatus, J. xgracilescens, Eleocharis pauciflora, Carex cryptolepis, Scirpus acutus, Agrostis scabra.
