Local in a large gravel pit. Occasional in moist to very wet gravelly muck associated with shallow water-filled depressions, in the abandoned (southern) portion of the gravel pit, beneath a power line. Forming clumps. Plants essentially sterile; seeds deformed (four other Juncus species here with properly formed seeds). Flowers (mature capsules) with three stamens. Full sun.
