Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Strongly rolling morainal terrain south of Dumbbell Lake, southwest of Divide Lake, 4.5 miles east-southeast of Isabella, 13 miles north of Finland. Just north of Crosscut Lake. NW1/4 of SE1/4 of SE1/4 Sec. 7, Superior National Forest

Habitat: Local in graminoid poor fen in a small (~3-acre) depression. Frequent here, forming patches in wetter, subtly lower depressions in the saturated and moderately spongy peat. In settings dominated by Rhynchospora alba. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Drosera intermedia, Xyris montana, Scheuchzeria palustris, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Andromeda glaucophylla, Carex limosa.
