Habitat: Occasional at the water's edge, where the lake is bordered by a fairly large poor fen. Wet quaking peat. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Iris versicolor, Drosera rotundifolia, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinium oxycoccus, V. macrocarpon, Kalmia polifolia, Alnus incana.
