Habitat:
Occasional at the water's edge, where the lake is bordered by a fairly large poor fen. Wet quaking peat. Full sun.

Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Iris versicolor, Drosera rotundifolia, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinium oxycoccus, V. macrocarpon, Kalmia polifolia, Alnus incana.
