Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Along the Tomahawk Trail in strongly rolling morainal terrain along the upper reaches of the North Branch of the Manitou River, five miles east-southeast of Isabella, 12 miles north of Finland. In a small basin south of Divide Lake. SW1/4 of NW1/4 Sec. 17, Superior National Forest

Habitat: Local on the shore of a shallow 3-acre pond. Forming dense patch in moist mucky substrate in zone exposed by receding water levels (recent drought). Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associated species include Glyceria borealis, Eleocharis ovata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Bidens cernua, Polygonum amphibium.
