Habitat:
Local on the shore of a shallow 3-acre pond. Small and sparse patch in moist mucky substrate in zone exposed by receding water levels (recent drought). Full sun.

Associated species include Leersia oryzoides, Eleocharis ovata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Bidens cernua, Polygonum amphibium.
