Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Along the Wanless Road in strongly rolling morainal terrain southeast of Dumbbell Lake, 4.5 miles east of Isabella, 13 miles north of Finland. Along the north shore of Divide Lake, near the Forest Service campground. SW1/4 of NW1/4 Sec. 8, Superior National Forest

Habitat: Locally common in shallow water. Substrate is rocky sand. Growing in water up to ~2 feet deep. Inflorescences (flowering stems) held erect, the upper 1-3 inches emergent.

Associated Taxa: Associated species include Lobelia dortmanna, Isoetes echinospora, I. lacustris.
