Habitat: Common to quite abundant in the ecotone between the upland and a poor fen dominated by Chamaedaphne calyculata and Carex utriculata. Moist to wet organic substrate in a zone that is dominated by Carex vesicaria. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Agrostis scabra, Torreyochloa pallida, Glyceria borealis, Eleocharis palustris, Ranunculus pensylvanicus, Persicaria punctata, P. amphibia, Sium suave.
