Habitat: On a 40- to 60-foot, northwest-facing, dolomite cliff. In dry crevices and dry-ish moss and lichen mats. Partial shade of Juniperus virginiana and Ulmus americana.
Associated Species: Associates include Cystopteris bulbifera, Solidago sciaphila, Campanula rotundifolia, Aquilegia canadensis, Pellaea glabella.
