Locality: United States, Minnesota, Olmsted, Along the Logan Branch of the Whitewater River five miles east-southeast of Plainview. Quite local atop a narrow hog's-back ridge in a sharp river bend 1/2 mile upstream from the confluence with the North Fork Whitewater River. SE1/4 of NE1/4 of SE1/4 Sec. 4, Whitewater State Wildlife Management Area

Verbatim Coordinates: T107N R11W sec04
Habitat: Small sparse patch on a gentle slope just above the crest of a very steep, 100-foot, west-facing bluff. Beneath canopy dominated by large Pinus strobus, with occasional Tilia americana and Quercus alba. Tall understory of Pinus strobus, Quercus rubra, Acer saccharum, and Prunus virginiana. Low shrubs, to ~18 inches tall.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex pedunculata, C. pensylvanica, Maianthemum canadense, Diervilla lonicera, Viburnum rafinesquianum, Parthenocissus inserta.
