Local atop a narrow hog's-back ridge 1/2 mile upstream of the confluence with the North Fork Whitewater River. SE1/4 of NE1/4 of SE1/4 Sec. 4, Whitewater State Wildlife Management Area

Verbatim Coordinates: T107N R11W sec04
Habitat: Rather large patch on gentle slope atop a steep, 100-foot, northwest-facing bluff. Clay loam; thick needle litter. Mesic pine-hardwood forest dominated by large Pinus strobus, with occasional Quercus alba and Tilia americana. Understory of Pinus strobus, Ostrya virginiana, and Acer saccharum. Trailing over and thru needle litter, in ~500-foot2 area.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Galium boreale, Anemone quinquefolia, Geranium maculatum, Osmorhiza claytonii, Maianthemum canadense, Diervilla lonicera, Lonicera dioica.
