Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, On north slope of a 150-foot ridge in fairly rugged bedrock terrain west of County Road 3; near the headwaters of Mink Creek, 14 miles north-northeast of Two Harbors, 1.5 miles north of London Crossing. N1/2 of NE1/4 of SW1/4 Sec. 26

Habitat: Infrequent and local, several small patches encountered on 10- to 30-foot, north-facing, mesic basaltic cliff. Growing in moss mats in crevices and on ledges of the little-fractured and quite sparsely vegetated rock face. Shaded by Betula papyrifera and Acer rubrum growing above and below the cliff.
Associated Species: Associated species include Maianthemum canadense, Polypodium virginianum.
