Habitat: Occasional to locally common along moist to rather wet logging road (winter trail) through young aspen forest.Wet rocky clay soil. Hundreds of clumps along ~100-yard stretch of wet road.
Associated Species: Associates include Scirpus microcarpus, Carex intumescens, Carex stipata, Glyceria grandis, Equisetum arvense, Campanula aparinoides, Rubus pubescens, Onoclea sensibilis.
