Habitat: Local in vernal wetland surrounded by a large patch of mature northern hardwood forest. Two patches of plants on slightly raised microsites. Wet rocky muck; some in shallow water (recent heavy rain). Partial sun to nearly full shade of the adjacent forest (Tilia americana, Acer saccharum).
Associated Species: Associates include Glyceria striata, Arisaema triphyllum, Impatiens capensis.
